This is beyond the scope of the newbies list.  The tagging list would
seem to be more appropriate:

BTW, I don't see the problem with using 'uncontrolled' to describe a
crossing.  It means that there is no control, no pushbuttons, no
signalling.  The warning lights are just warning lights, they flash
when pedestrians are using the crossing, they flash when motorists are
using the crossing, they flash 24 hours a day.  If they stop flashing
that means there is a power cut.
