[OSM-newbies] Gas canisters

There's a lot of places out here where you can get gas canisters for stoves
filled. Actually you pay about $15US and swap with one of their already
full ones. There's no gas lines in the country so that's how you gotta
cook.
I'm trying to tag them correctly and distinguish them from amenity=fuel for
gas stations. I've tried amenity=fuel and fuel=propane but that seems to
show up as a gas station where you could search for different octanes with
propane being an option. Are there cars that run on propane and this is
totally not how it should be tagged? I was hoping for something like
amenity=drinking_water that would make it obvious what sort of gas is here
and no confusion.
I don't want cars driving up to the gas canister swapping places nor do I
want to leave them out of the map since they're very important here. You
always see folks riding by on bicycles with water bottles or gas canisters
balanced on the frame. Would be great to keep track of them all.
Thanks,
-Don.
