[OSM-newbies] Polylines vs Polygons

What about feature types like natural or power which don’t seem to have a default type? For those should you always set the area='yes'.

It depends on the feature type. If it is a feature that is normally either a point or an area feature, the area=yes is not needed (it's area, btw, not areas), if it is a feature that is normally a line feature, then it is.
