[OSM-newbies] Street Names Not Appearing in OSM

1)  As others have said updates of the Mapnik layer are not necessarily instantaneous. You can force a re-render of a mapnik tile image if you append /dirty/ to the url of the image. 

2) Not entirely sure what it is you are asking ?

  1.       Several days ago I logged into Potlatch Edit and added some street names to an area lacking them. I clicked Save and entered the note in the notation field. A message appeared to tell me that the data had updated successfully. But the names have not appeared on the streets in View mode.  If I log in to Edit again and click on the street the information is there. Why is it not appearing on the "View" map? Have I missed some vital step?

  2.       How do you transfer an uploaded track to the map to add in as an additional feature?
