Yes, I have a N810 that I have used for OSM mapping for more than a year.
The integrated GPS is low quality, it can take more than 15min on a cold 
fix, with assisted-GPS I can generally have a fix in 2-3 min (less if the 
atmospheric conditions are really good). Not very accurate also, when the 
conditions are bad, or in high buildings or trees, you can be 10-20 meters 
off and that can change in a minute.

Maemo mapper is a good app on which you can load OSM tiles (and google or 
yahoo if you want). It records tracks in GPX and you can take notes.

If you have an external GPS unit with bluetooth, you can use it instead of 
the builtin GPS for better accuracy.
