[OSM-newbies] Correction to an OSM map

Step one download JOSM.  Download the area of interest.  Then open up your
GPS file in JOSM and trace it.  Then upload your corrected osm file from
JOSM.

Also have a look at GPSbabel.  With a bit of luck it should be able to
extract the GPS file from your device.
