That's a matter of personal choice. It's your map, so it's up to you
to decide what features to display at what zoom levels (if at all).
These choices are made in the process of creating a style sheet, which
tells the renderer how to transform the OSM data into a visual map.
Exactly how this is accomplished depends on the renderer you intend to
use.
For reference purposes: if you decide to use a tile system based on
the Spherical Mercator projection, like OSM's web map does, here's a
list of the physical size of one square tile's coverage for each zoom
level at Singapore's latitude:
0: ~40,000 km (whole planet except polar regions)
1: ~20,000 km
2: ~10,000 km
3: ~5000 km
4: ~2500 km
5: ~1250 km
6: 626 km
7: 313 km
8: 156.5 km
9: 78.3 km
10: 39.1 km
11: 19.56 km
12: 9.78 km
13: 4.89 km
14: 2445 m
15: 1223 m
16: 611 m
17: 305.7 m
18: 152.8 m
19: 76.4 m
20: 38.2 m
