[OSM-newbies] Changes over time (demolished and abandoned buildings, felled trees)

Hi all.
My street is built on the site of a former school, which has been demolished.
I want to draw:

1) The outline of the former school's grounds.
2) The outline of the former school buildings.

I want to tag:

1a) The name of the former school, as a property of the grounds, not the building.
1b) The date the school was opened.
1c) The date the school was closed.
2a) The date the building was built. (some time before 1b)
2b) The date the building was pulled down. (some time after 1c)
or
2c) the fact that the building has been demolished if the date of demolition is not known.

Neither mapnik nor osmarender should draw the building in their default (t=now) rendering, nor the name of the school over the area of the grounds.
On the other hand, the school should—and my street should not—be drawn in a historical (e.g. t=1970) rendering.

Adjacent to this site is the site of another former school which was closed due to subsidence. The building is still standing but is abandoned. How do I tag this up? (e.g. name of school so that it can be searched for but does not render as a school by default.)

Trees. I had a tree in my back garden which was big enough to be noted on Ordinance Survey maps. It was cut down several years ago by the local council, as it was deemed a hazard to nearby buildings. Is there any way to mark this up? It may help people correlating old maps with newer ones, or help people who remember the area as it used to look.
