Why not just use Mkgmap to combine your separate img files into a single
one, for loading on the eTrex. Just run mkgmap with the --gmapsupp
option, and specify all of the img files as inputs. No need to use gmaptool.
Also, on the eTrex: go to the map screen, press menu, then select "Setup
map". Go along to "Map setup - information" (where it lists all of the
individual map tiles). Then press menu, and you can choose to show or
hide a complete map set at once.
