i'd grab copies of Dave Hansen's maps here:

http://daveh.dev.openstreetmap.org/garmin/Lambertus/

the subdirectories are dates according to when the maps were built.
the maps are in theory routable, but routable garmin maps are still
a work in progress, in part due to the need for connectivity repairs
in OSM itself.

the .img files need to get copied to the right place on the SD card
(the Garmin subdirectory) and renamed appropriately (gmapsupp.img),
and the Garmin will recognize them when it starts.

note that the Garmin USB interface is very, very slow. use a separate
SD card reader if you want speed.
