I am a newbie myself but it is possible that the recent license redaction activity removed your edits. The purpose of the redaction was to remove all edits  made by those users that had not accepted the new license agreement. If you have not accepted that agreement then your edits would have been removed.

Subject: [OSM-newbies] Information about deleted items

I have spent several tens of hours digitizing the location of shrimp ponds near my home in Mexico using JOSM and BING Images.  Recently I opened Open Street Map to find that all of these features have been deleted.  This leads me to pose two questions:

1) How can I find out who delete these features so that I can inquire as to why they took this action?  and,
2) How can I retrieve these data which I need for purposes of my own, even if it is determined that they are not appropriate for OSM?

Thank you.
