[OSM-newbies] One feature, one OSM element - sorry for bringing it up again

I know there has been some recent discussion on the list about this, and 
sorry for rehashing this subject. When I thought I just got a handle on 
this, I stumbled over this wiki page:

Quote:

"Add a node at the centre of the pub and add amenity=pub to it."

This seems to suggest tagging the building separately, and then the pub 
as a single node in the middle. Should this page be corrected in line 
with the "one feature, one OSM element", or is it correct as it stands?
