I agree, lugging a laptop, is not fun, and even tho the EeePc, is
smaller, so unfortunately is the screen size and resolution. My biggest
beef with iPads, is the lack of USB ports, am sure that if there are 2
USB ports on a tablet, then one has a very good chance of plugging in a
keyboard and mouse ... , tho one might well be able to use the native
touch keyboard without too much discomfort.
Also, if you can do rough live mapping on the tablet, one can always
"neaten" it up on the desktop, where you have a high resolution monitor,
and mouse, for precise adjustments ...
For me there are currently just too many "unkowns" and I don't have
money to go out and try this and that, and see what is practically
useful, and what is not.
