Could someone take a look at the “Piazza del Duomo” (where the Dome is) in
Florence ?
It seems to me it was not correctly drawn: there are two ways , one for the
edge and one for the area of the plaza.
And the “Piazza della Signoria” ? (south of the Dome)
The plaza there shares many points with the buildings around

Alech,
Since no one really answered your question, I thought I would try.
First draw the outside edges of the plaza. Do not include the
street. Tag it as highway=pedestrian and area=yes.
Then put a point where the monument is. Tag it historic=monument.
If the plaza has definite sidwalks or pathways within the area, draw
them and tag them highway=pedestrian, but omit the area=yes.
