[OSM-newbies] Scale in JOSM editor

Thanks for the very fast response, Gerhardus. I had found the slider at 
the top left. When I looked closely, I also found the scale, drawn in a 
very fine line in white against an almost white background. I have now 
found a 'preference' where I can change its colour.
