[OSM-newbies] Gaping hole in the Pittsburgh Metro Area (John Lewis)

The nodes for most of the houses in the Pittsburgh Metro as well as the
Pittsburgh City never existed. I can't randomly pick a city address and
expect to find it on the map. Some major points of interest are
represented. Once I get to the suburbs the suberbs finding houses that
represent points of interest are a rarity and all come from geo names.

I guess I can start by making OpenStreetMap nodes for the locations in
the geo names. Then I can figure out how to do web development I can put
a website on one of my virtual private servers and organize a mapping
party for the less notable house nodes.

I don't understand how Western Pennsylvania Hospital can have a symbol
on the map but not have a node representing it at all, how does that happen?

What are presets for? Should I denote buildings with more than one node?
