[Osmf-talk] Translations of the ODBL

Hello!


The matter of the licence change causes a lot of discussion. During some 
talks off the lists it became apparent, that there is quite a number of 
people who currently oppose the licence change - not because of the 
content of the licence, but simply because there is no official 
translation into German. They are not against the licence, they just 
don't want to sign or approve something that they cannot read and 
understand.

Personally, I am in favour of the licence change, but I can understand 
the concerns very well, I would not approve something that is put down 
in a language that I don't understand either.

Looking into the wiki, I found only an inofficial translation of the 
contributors' terms and none of the licence itself. Is that correct or 
did I miss something?

And I'd like to ask the question to the board: Are there any plans for 
translations, at least for the major languages used by the contributors?

It would be a pity to loose people just due to lack of translation.
