Cash is obviously needed for financing operations of the
http://hotosm.org/ "The Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team".

First of all, it needs a freestanding building close to the
organizations' buildings it cooperates with:

"Doctors Without borders":

"United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees"
http://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=46.22075&mlon=6.14101#map=19/46.22075/6.14100

"International Organization for Migration":
http://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=46.23173&mlon=6.13196#map=19/46.23173/6.13196

"CIRC"
http://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=46.22784&mlon=6.13747#map=19/46.22784/6.13747

etc.

As Felix Dellatre told us in his report at the "SOTM.US 2013" in some
places addresses are written as "400 steps to the north from the burned
church, then ask N...".

Serious well-equipped mapping expeditions-surveys could be conducted in
cooperation with other humanitarian organizations' field work. Such
expeditions would cost money even if conducted by volunteers (GPS
equipment, insurance, travel expenses, training & certification, etc.)
