Hi Severin,

This is great - I’ve had a good response to the call for help, but mostly from people who will not be present on the ground. We are still working out the detail of the on-the ground task, but it will certainly involve monitoring of the final list of voters (making sure that I have not inserted imposters) and of the export of the raw ballots to be passed to the remote observers for independent counting.

Dear board, dear other monitors, please meet Severin! Severin, please meet, Richard, Jonathan and Ilya who are the remote monitors.

See you in Buenos Aires. I only arrive late on Thursday night, but Floris and Henk are already in place, so if you can find either of them, they can point me out to you.

Dermot

I have no "official" sanction to do this, this is my own Just Do It project. But, OSMF elections are coming up very quickly. The board is focused on organisation. They have also made a commitment to run this as STV, Single Transferable Vote, which is very exciting ... but a first. So I think they need help. I have spoken to Dermot McNally, the tasked board member, and he is happy. He is also a genuinelly nice guy.

It will great to have some one to share the knowledge, (and probably a few teething problems!). System admin skills may be a nice extra but not necessary I think.
