Unfortunately SEPA doesn't mean what most continental europeans expect
it to mean when it comes to UK support...
I don't know about DD but when it comes to transfers it's not generally
true (as people often expect) that there aren't extra fees - the rule is
that cross border transfers have to cost the same as an equivalent in
country transfer, but UK banks like to interpret that as meaning the
same as an equivalent sterling to euro in country transfer and then slap
on fees.
In any case I suspect we would find it hard to get approved for DD at
all, even in country UK DD.
