thank you Oliver for pointing this out, the UK is indeed part of SEPA land.
AFAIR from previous discussions the issue with the UK bank are exchange
fees and bank charges + interest (please correct me if I'm wrong here). In
2012 (last financial report I have found online) these amount to 2,3% of
