I don't want to comment on every single point you raise, just on one.

One of the attributes of evolution is that it is continuous and gradual,
and yes OSM does tend not to have lots of big bangs in which things
change fundamentally, but to claim that OSM hasn't evolved (in every
aspect) is clearly at odds with reality, it just isn't that noticeable
when you are involved in the process.
