Certainly, it is very good that the OSM continues to evolve as a
volunteers' community. On the other hand, I can understand people who
want it to become also something else, a serious solid ecosystem for
creating wealth, for a career path.
There is a good saying in China "/Let a hundred flowers bloom; let a
hundred schools of thought contend/" (originally a line from a poem).
There were more than hundred thousand employees in /Kodak/, until it
filed for bankruptcy protection. And there are just thirteen employees
at /Instagram./ Shall new global innovative technological projects just
eliminate opportunities? Not to assume at least a degree of
responsibility for creating them?
Perhaps, it makes sense to combine harmoniously both approaches, to /let
a hundred flowers bloom?/
