[Osmf-talk] [hotosm-membership] Re: Balancing the presence of the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT US Inc) in the OpenStreetMap Foundation

Hello,

I participated in HOT activities since 2010, I do not want to see more of
hotties to the foundation.

Out of respect for diversity, HOT is only a tiny part of OSM, it is
important not to have the overrepresentation.

For all I know about missing map project in Haiti, there have been no
discussions with the OSM communities in the country.

Only discussions between worldbank, American Red Cross, HOT and remote
mappers (only some part).

And since mapping with missing map over Canaan, OSM data is quite dirty
even now.

No direct support on the activity of OSM drone in Haiti from HOT.

I could see the exclusion of Pierre Beland from HOT which affected me a lot
and other violent altercation.

So in the end, noboby can tell me if I need to move or leave HOT, because I
have already invested a lot of time to support HOT since 2010 (Haiti)
during activations as Ebola and others…

I strongly believe that diversity should be preserved in the OSM ecosystem
and HOT still need to show by evidence in assembling local OSM community
and their impact on their environment over the long term.

All the best FredM
