Hi,

As Simon has already noted, funding has to keep up with hiring people,
and in your long list you have probably forgotten "hiring several
people to acquire the funds needed to finance all the hired people" ;)

Many things in your list are things that I personally think are
outside of the realm of OSMF, i.e. OSMF should not even do these
things with volunteers, much less employ people to do them. And this
is indeed the slippery slope that Harry mentioned - once we start
employing people, there will always be someone who says "why not hire
someone to rewrite the web site code" and so on.

But let me assure you, we are really talking about baby steps right
now, and what you have sketched in your message is years away from
even possibly happening.

To make this perfectly clear, OSMF board is not even thinking about
hiring someone to do coding, or map style development, or Wiki cleanup.

Bye
Frederik
