I would totally agree if we were actually talking about a political body
with substantial rule setting power and a executive arm that would carry
out grand plans laid down by it. But in reality the OSMF board only has
very limited power and I'm not quite sure if the current board has
voiced any views and ideas that are not completely mainstream.
Not that we should be totally happy with the current board, we were
promised action on both the base term length and term limits and nothing
has happened, but I willing to assume a "yet" there (aka the normal OSMF
glacial pace). It would simply be easier to put something in place as
long as we don't have obvious issues again.
