I hope you are aware that these statements are not only pretty demeaning 
to those in the discussion here, they are also counterproductive 
because the only way you improve diversity in OSM as a whole is to 
raise awareness and sensitivity among the ignorant white male dudes on 
the subject and you don't do that by telling them they are 
fundamentally incapable of even productively discussing the matter.

And just for the sake of dissecting arguments: If you'd replace half of 
the white male dudes in OSM with equally culturally insensitive and 
ignorant non-white female chicks that would not really improve 
diversity in OSM in the long term.

The only way to get progress on this matter is to openly communicate 
about things and raise understanding between people with different 
backgrounds and different viewpoints.  This is what a lot of people 
actually join OSM for so don't tell them their efforts in being open, 
sensitive and understanding do not matter.
