Hi all,

OpenAerialMap is another project (not part of stricly OSMF
strategy/control, but part of the larger community)
"an open service to provide access to a commons of openly licensed
imagery and map layer services"
https://openaerialmap.org/
http://openaerialmap.org/about/

License and usage:
http://openaerialmap.org/legal/

This project is open-source.
