Great seeing this — had no idea of the scope of FOSSGIS activities, the server run for OSM (and other related projects), the grants. Really appreciate the myriad ways this local chapter supports its community, as well as projects and services which benefit the global community.
Hope this kind of activities and reporting are inspirational to other local chapters.
Question on
> The AGM asks the board to prepare a concept paper on professionalising the organisation, particularly public relations.
Can FOSSGIS folks say more about the issues that prompted this request, and what “professional” means in this context. It’s a word that can have a lot of connotations, and one that’s caused confusion in the OSMF.

Hi all,

FOSSGIS e.V., the OSMF Local Chapter in Germany, submitted their annual
report to the OSMF board a few months ago. We briefly discussed it
during this week's public board meeting, and I'm happy to forward the
document to the membership:

More information on local chapters is available at

As part of their agreement¹ with the OSMF, local chapters commit
themselves to provide an annual English-language activity and financial
report to the Foundation.

Yours,
Tobias
