I don't think it's the case. The core part of the original request, if I
understand it correctly, is "Essential communications will always be
accessible through an open, preferably self-hosted platform.
They may be published on proprietary channels as well, but only in
addition to an open channel."

If I understand it correctly (Tobias, please correct me if I'm wrong), it
means "if any private communication channel disappear for any reason or go
nuts, no harm is done, as all important communications are available somewhere
else forever".

Yes, but not as *primary* channels.
