Welcome to the Board! šŸ™‚ It's a good idea to be prepared, and to have a buffer. I don't know about specific limits, and how that would work out. Maybe it's better to just always be aware of sustainability? When designing internet standards, you're required to state the ā€œsecurity considerationsā€, perhaps when getting, or spending, money, one should have to consider how it affects sustainability.
