Heya, thank you for checking.
I guess what you refer to as a splashscreen is the about popup. It
indeed appears for the first time visitors (and based on cookies is
never shown again, reasonable).

I meant the attribution in the lower right corner of the map, please see
the attached screenshot.
Here's a prominent "Mapbox", but no mention of OSM at all.

This is relevant when somebody - including journalists - create
screenshots of the map.

I noticed the lack of attribution when I wanted to share a screenshot
and celebrate the usage of OSM data.
