Hi, i will not renew membership for my part. Became rathet annoyed by the takeover of osm politics by the same loud but small activist groups who want to dictate their ideas to the large but silent majority, wo rather want to map than do politics not connecting with mapping. So i grew rather tired reading all this stuff and i had significantly less drive do use my time off fof this project...

Dears,
I know that this is a hard topic and it appears to be going on a tangent. Respectfully and warmly, let's focus on membership renewals rather than getting into this topic.
Thank you again to the Membership Committee for their effort to help us have a safe and healthy election.

By "politics" he means having to listen to what other community members
ask of him - other community members he continually accuses of secretly
working for the Austrian government or shady commercial enterprises
trying to bring OSM down.
By "anonymity" he means creating one sock puppet after another to evade
the blocking of his account, and thereby wasting not only DWG's time but
that of the whole Austrian OSM community.
This man has been suspended (countless times) on the Austrian forum for
(among other things) spewing off-topic conspiracy theories. He has been
moderated on the talk-at mailing list. His OSM account has been
temporarily suspended many times (before finally being suspended
indefinitely) and a lot of time has gone into trying to convince him to
respect others in the community to no avail. The various account blocks
on https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/beautifulplacesMMXX/blocks are
just a fragment of the whole but they give you an idea of what has
happened, however the list of his accounts is long:

Some of these are just throwaway accounts, others contain long profile
rants about injustices suffered, or various attacks against individuals
or groups. Some are even given a "persona", for example he used his
"Wonder Women" account to tell another mapper "I won't let a man dictate
anything to me!" when asked to provide good changeset comments.
In one of the many interminable discussions about his mapping on
https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/104910470, towards the end, he
describes his strategy of actively suppressing productive mapping.
In addition to various OSM-controlled media, this user also regularly
publishes accusations against other Austrian OSM contributors and DWG
members on Twitter and his personal blog.
If anyone wants to form their own opinion, the above pointers should
give you more than enough material.
Bye
Frederik
