[Osmf-talk] Fwd: 2021 Board election - Submission of self-nominations is open

Dear Foundation Members,

The OSMF Board elections approach (please see details below, including 
*deadline of 23 October*). Four seats will be in contention. *At least 
one of them (mine) will be vacant and thus needs to be filled.*

If anybody wishes to chat with me about what is involved in serving on 
the OSMF Board, please ping me and we'll set up a time to talk by 
telephone, video conference (Big Blue Button), or your choice of 
WhatsApp, Signal, or Telegram.

Board service is NOT an honorary position. It involves _some_ work.  
Please do not mistake this for an "honorary" position. It comes with 
responsibility for keeping the OSM project healthy, the satisfaction of 
contributing to civil society and the common good, and the ability to 
make the world a better place. If this interests you, please feel free 
to contact me to arrange a time to chat.
