IMHO: Please request an official check from the "OSMF Diversity and
Inclusion Special Committee"[1] ,
- Is the proposed change compatible with our diversity statements[2] ?
( especially "to make it all-inclusive ... physical or mental
difference" )

We have some important accessibility projects [ ~
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM_for_the_blind , etc ]
And it will be much harder for members of these communities to meet
membership requirements.
( IMHO : they need an alternative for the "15 mapped days" )

[2] "The OpenStreetMap Foundation ... welcome and encourage participation
by everyone. Our community is based on mutual respect, tolerance, and
encouragement, and we are working to help each other live up to these
principles. We want our community to be more diverse: whoever you are, and
whatever your background, we welcome you. .... "
