Our systems became overloaded a few minutes ago due to a mass of
scraping requests hitting our services from <1% of users.
Some API calls are resource intensive to process. We have simple
controls in place to limit some of these unacceptable mass requests,
but it is a cat and mouse game.

The board has been very supportive of any budgetary requests from the
Operations Group ("sysadmins").
With additional time/resource now available* we can plan and build
more resilient systems.
