I have heard a lof of gossips about various reasons, guessing about who said what to whom, and who supposed to do something, and I was wondering: is there any reason this shall be kept as secret?

Or maybe would it be possible for anyone at OSMF to actually tell us what's the problem, who has been told about it, what happened, and what is the next step, and who have done, or will be doing steps to advance this situation, and what could possibly us help in this process?

(Heard about possible abuse from outside the OSM editors, suggestions about offering personal keys based on osm oauth, various guesses from the JOSM team and users about what should possibly done but nobody knows the details... Would be nice to actually know.)
