[Osmf-talk] 2023 Board election - Submission of self-nominations is open

What a ringing endorsement for being a part of the board.  I can't imagine
why candidates are not signing up in droves.  Perhaps if you had spoken
warmly about your experience on the board and how it was meaningful to you,
and the impact that you felt that you had, it might encourage someone on
the fence to put their name in.  Really what this sounds like is "If
someone signs up to be a candidate that I don't like, I would like a brief
pause in the nomination process so I can find a candidate that I do like in
order to oppose them."

Personally I am thankful for anyone that raises their hand to invest time
and energy in such a role, even if they choose to declare at the last
minute, and you should be too.
