It's probably a bit late for this election but should we have a list of
requirements for board membership?

For example a maximum age of say 75?

There is a new type of computer memory / storage emerging which has the
promise to increase database servers performance.  Should we have someone
on the board who understands about these sort of things?

OSM permits many ways to describe the same thing. Fine but it does mean
it's more difficult to find the data.  Does the board need access to a
subject matter specialist to help clean up the map?

I've seen other organisations have a committee to look at candidates and
existing board members and come up with recommendations about who would fit
best.  Would this approach be of value?

I'm quite sure others might have some better ideas.
