I'm proud that both Simon and Steve both think I have secret powers!

I do volunteer with OSMF, as many former Board members have done and
continue to do. I'm happy to catalog all the contributions I make if you
really want. None of that is done in secret, but with delegation (the lack
of which Simon also thinks is a problem) and full transparency from the
Board, or through Committees or WGs. I do not have any decision making
authority.

I fully realized I was making myself vulnerable to this kind of insinuation
by sticking my neck out and drawing a connection between the membership
situation and the situation on the Board. But I stand by this as an
important connected factor. I'm offering my opinion -- as we are all ok to
do as OSMF members. We need a basically functioning Board asap as a
precondition to tackle the membership problem.
