This is a key point to be resolved.  How do you think we should solve 
threading issues?  Or do we just ignore it because it's only the --tee 
case that currently triggers it?  Or do you still think we should 
duplicate all data in a --tee as you originally suggested?

Given the additional complexity that keeping entity classes immutable is 
adding I'm less opposed to duplicating all data in a --tee than I once 
was ...
