[osmosis-dev] Merge huge count of files

Hi,

the files are downloaded via xapi with disjunct bounds at the xapi call. 
I don't know the behavior of the xapi if there are ways overlapping the bounds. 
I think it delivers the same way at two touching bounds.

Just another thought: if your XML files are guaranteed to be fully 
disjunct (no entity ever occurs in two different files, non-overlapping 
bounding boxes is generally _not_ enough), 

...
