[osmosis-dev] Feature request - a margin around a bbox

Dunno if this is the right place for a feature request, but here goes...

I'm extracting the data to render a particular z8 tile, and rather than
using completeWays, I'm calculating the lonlats for a bbox that has a 2%
margin around the z8 tile (because that's quicker to run).

So the feature request is for an additional "margin" option to --bb that
takes the specified left&right (or the ones inferred from x1 or x1&x2), and
adjusts them to add a percentage margin, and similarly with top&bottom (or
y1 or y1&y2). If only one of left/right, or only one of top/bottom is
specified, no adjustment would apply.

This would allow the command to be shortened from:
--bb top=51.635647777009 left=-1.434375 bottom=50.7188239087754
right=0.028125

to:
--bb zoom=8 x1=127 y1=86 margin=2

and which has the distinct virtue of avoiding lots of external lon/lat
calculations.

Any chance of that being implemented?

Richard
