It depends on what you are trying to correct?

The usual problem I have is missing 'obstructions' such as 'bus access only' or 
we have just added a temporary blockage to a few roads and a removal of one way 
while one of the local bridges is closed.
It's normally obvious what is wrong, but the router software does not 
necessarilly recognise some of these fine details so one has to be a bit more 
brutal to adjust routing.

That said ... I've still not managed to get a number of the routing packages to 
actually USE the preferred local routes as they are 'tertiary' by 
classification, but the same quality as the adjacent 'A' roads which provide a 5 
mile detour :(
