Hi,

OSRM is written in C++, not in Python. For a Python routing engine,
check "pyroutelib3".

It should be possible to modify the profile to process railway=* objects
instead of highway=* objects but you will get results that include
making u-turns or 90 degree turns which look ok to the routing engine
but are unfavourable to a railway engine.
