[Photon] Need help

Hello. I found you framework is so cool but i don't know how i can use it for my needs. Can you please help me? 

I have an iPhone app (Android app and a webservice coming soon). User can register and choose his location. How it looks like:
User enters town's name in searchbox and see the results. I need to find only towns, regions, countries, lat&long and id of the town. Other data like streets, nearby places is not needed. Then i will save his choice (town id and coordinates) in his profile. Of course i need multilanguage support (en, es, ru for now) and geocoding because my app used worldwide. 

As i understand Open Street Map data is too large and consists of too many unneeded features for me. I use Geonames but it has really bad data. 

I found that you working on project Photon. But i don't see how to use only towns (and not streets, places, etc), and i also don't know how to parse Open Street Map data from all planet to small amount of megabytes (just countries, regions, towns, coordinates, ids on 2-3 languages) and then use it with Photon.
