Hi Mauro,
your hardware seems suitable, thus performance should be better. The first few queries are always a bit slower, I guess it is the OS disk cache that needs to warm up. Are queries getting faster with time? It also depends on the search terms, if they are very general like "united states of america“ combined with a location bias, photon needs to rank a lot of search times and runs into a timeout.
