[Photon] Performance

Guys,

I've setup photon default db on a quad core Xeon 2.6hz (virtual PC), 15gb
RAM and SSD disks, using a Java heap size of 5gb (64bits) and my local
queries on the server are really slow.
Geocoding is taking ~800msecs while reverse geocoding takes > 1sec.

During that time CPU usage is > 75%.

I wonder if this is the expected performance and what is the recommended
hardware to run Photon.
