[Potlatch-dev] highway = path

Hello,

as I'm new to this list, I'd like express my compliments to the developers -
Potlatch is a great tool!

Mostly, I'm mapping my hiking trips. Following the rules
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Hiking
the tag highway=path turns out to be used very often. Could it be added to
menu? Maybe with additional attributes like sac_scale? Could lines tagged as
"path" get a non-gray color? Maybe similar to "footway" as both have a
similar meaning.

Moreover, adding "path" to the menu may prevent people using "footway" for
hiking paths which is inadequate. (People tend to pick up the most
appropriete tag from menu instead of searching documentation.)

A second entity which I'm missing in the menu, is guide post:
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Guidepost
This tag is not yet approved, however already well established. Could it be
added too?
