 When switching between imagery sources via the Background dropdown menu,
 if any source other than Yahoo is selected, the background is displayed
 dimmed and not sharpened, regardless of the states of the Dim and Sharpen
 checkboxes.

 If it is decided for some reason that these background options should in
 fact revert to default when the background is switched, then the
 checkboxes should be updated to reflect the reasserted default values.
 Otherwise, the checkboxes' existing states should be consulted to
 determine the appearance of the newly-selected background.
